Tal como tínhamos denunciado em Agosto de 2009, a administração do Casino Estoril preparou um despedimento colectivo cujo único motivo é, não a sustentabilidade financeira ou subsistência da empresa, mas sim a manutenção dos níveis de elevadíssimo lucro dos donos do casino, neste caso, do bem conhecido Stanley Ho, 86º homem mais rico do mundo (Forbes).
A administração tenta assim cortar despesas em 7,5 milhões de euros, o que inclui o despedimento de trabalhadores para garantir 55% desse valor. Aquilo que para os trabalhadores do casino é uma questão de sobrevivência básica, para outros, a administração e Stanley Ho, é uma questão de aumento ou manutenção das suas receitas grotescas. É portanto a questão laboral nas suas perspectivas habituais.

Referimo-nos, Senhores Deputados da República, à impassibilidade de organismos como a ACT-Autoridade para as Condições do Trabalho e DGERT (serviço específico do Ministério do Trabalho) que, solicitados a fiscalizar as condições substantivas do despedimento, nada fizeram mediante as provas que presenciaram.
Não gosto de ver o caos em que puseram este país, por irresponsabilidade, por falta de respeito, pelo cidadão nos casos da justiça que a civilização criou como valores para a igualdade.
