Escuro futuro: Um milhão de gregos sem luz

A continuidade da austeridade leva ao corte de todos os direitos básicos às populações que trabalham. O activismo político na Grécia faz-se também do restabelecimento clandestino das ligações eléctricas cortadas, que se tornou uma realidade diária de muita importância. Reportagem.
Os recentes cortes de energia em bairros pobres do Porto como o Lagarteiro abriram a porta a um futuro escuro, especialmente após a privatização da EDP para o Estado Chinês. Na Grécia estimam-se em um milhão o número de pessoas sem acesso a electricidade. Uma reportagem da RTP mostra a realidade da vida à luz de velas, sem aquecimento ou iluminação, após mais de três anos de austeridade da troika.
Em Outubro um tribunal grego declarou inocente um activista que tinha sido apanhado a restabelecer ligações eléctrica cortadas. Há vários colectivos na Grécia, movimentos de resistência política, que neste momento se dedicam ao restabelecimento da electricidade em dezenas de casas por dia.
A hecatombe da austeridade é o mergulho na barbárie e a Grécia é hoje um país de terceiro mundo, realidade para a qual Portugal avança rapidamente, com o Governo de Passos Coelho e Paulo Portas a seguirem a receita grega da destruição, de ir além da troika e (cada vez mais óbvio), de ir manter a troika, mesmo que ela se vá embora.
